Lama Aboughali managed capital market transactions for a diverse set of clients including PE firms, institutions, family businesses and individuals.

Coordinating internal and external deal teams, inclusive of lawyers, auditors, and third-party advisors, She provided leadership through all phases of valuation, legal and financial due diligence, and preparation of offering materials.

Supervising a team of advisors Ms. Aboughali monitored deal cycle processes, from financial modeling and negotiations to structuring and financial activities, in addition to building standardized templates for pre-deal completion processes. Most recently she has been the project management lead from inception to delivery, inclusive of pitching, due diligence, structuring, valuation, and production of transaction documentation at a regulated firm in the DIFC covering various sectors in cross-border transactions.

Additionally, as a shareholder of Saffar holding, she was part of the principal investments and post acquisitions teams, reviewing and implementing board strategies for several start-up portfolio companies. Ms. Aboughali also worked at an operational level within companies in their growth phases as necessary.

Her experience includes market research, setting pre-operational strategies, seeding, turning around and successfully exiting multiple entities such as Zawya, Credit Suisse Saudi Arabia and Elaj medical services. Lama holds a Master’s Degree of Business Administration in finance from the John Molson School of Business.
