Loulwa Bakr

Before entering the field of venture capital, Loulwa led a distinguished career in the field of corporate finance and investment banking spanning more than 15 years in a number of leading local and international banks, culminating in heading the investment banking division for Credit Suisse Saudi Arabia.

She led many notable deals in the Saudi capital markets and advised leading corporations on matters of financing, restructuring, M&Aand IPO. Through her role as a founding partner of Chrome Advisory, a boutique investment advisory firm specializing in advisory services for venture capital in the region, she works with various players in the VCecosystem. Until recently she was a partner at Global Ventures, a VC fund that specializes in investing in venture assets for developing economies
since 2019.

In addition to recognized by the World Economic Forum as a Young Global Leader , she is an independent member of the Board of Directors of Real Finance (Middle East and Africa), a member of the board, investment committee and chairperson of the audit committee of Jahez, and a member of the Advisory Board of Columbia University Global Centres (Amman).

She was appointed in 2023 by H.E. the Minister of Commerce to the board of the Jeddah Chamber of Commerce.

Loulwa holds a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from King Saud University and an MBA in Finance and Economics from Columbia University in NewYork.
